Mamograms - The Dangers

The purpose of this series is not to advocate for or against mamograms. It is to have women informed. Only informed patients can make intelligent decisions about their course of treatment. Physicians are no longer condsidered deities, whose word is absolute and final. It is up to you, the informed patient, to decide whether you want to undergo mamograms. If you undergo a mamogram, and get a diagnosis of a possible breast cancer site, make sure to get a second opinion, including an independent biopsy.
